Tears down my face. Thank you . That was beyond amazing.

Muntu Omnyama

I think one of the future art commissions needs to be of crelers.

John Koor

It bothered me that the crelers didn't just destroy the door from the other side. A swarming mass of death trying to wedge through a normal door with a gem glued to it should have ended up disabling the door from the other side.

John Koor

In my heart, Toren will always be capable of redemption. I love that damned skeleton. I'm hoping the next chapter is a T chapter that gives us solely his POV and redemption.

John Koor

It wasn't until she opened the door. And honestly, we don't know just how dangerous Toren is at this point. Skinner was a volume 1 bbeg. He caught a bunch of silver teams off guard and wiped them out. Going by how the adventurers have been treating the blood fields, I'd think Skinner wasn't that much worse than the big tree things we've been reading about, other than being mobile. Unlike Skinner, Toren can level, and he can reassemble himself time and time again. In theory he would probably love spending time in the blood fields since he could just wander around killing things and leveling up.

John Koor

I wouldn't think so. Molting is part of shedding the shell so that the creature can grow larger. Everything we've seen indicates that Antinium are born full sized. I don't believe we've ever seen mention of larva or even size differences among the different Antinium classes.

John Koor

Toren isn't more dangerous than Skinner which is what her danger-sense magnitude was conveying. The Crelers , however, certainly are.

lenkite

No, it told her that her Inn was in danger. Which was correct.

lenkite

I actually think she was feeling the Dangersense from Toren, not the Crelers.

I love that Erin's danger sense now tells her if her friends are in danger too. Or at least that is how I understood it.

Do the antinium molt?

Moore was at the Inn.

Forgot that only Mages could receive [Message] spells. That, however, raises a couple of questions: - If Erin could not receive [Message] spells directly, why is the female adventure cursing our Innkeeper? Relevant quotes: “We were there! We sent [Messages]! But you didn’t open the door!” “I didn’t know.” A silver rank adventurer would know how the spell works, so why take it out on Erin rather than the Mages who would have had to warn her? - Second question: why did Liscor's Mage Guild not receive the warning from the Bloodfields? Unless we go with the theory that all the Mages in the field where so shocked by the appearance of the crelers that they flubbed the spell, we are shown no sign that the Mages in town got any kind of warning. By the time Erin's [Dangersense] goes off, they cycle the door to Liscor and there is no sense that the alarm has been raised: "Liscor, nothing. People on the streets." Only after the crelers start coming out of the Inn does Liscor respond using the siege spells on the walls and Embria shows up (we are not told if they were already out of the city on other business or rushed out). Also, Olesm remarks on how they need to raise the alarm in Pallass... I believe that if Liscor's Mage Guild had received the warning from the Bloodfields, the magnitude of the creler threat would have made it automatic to send out the information to Pallass.

Luca

I can't take this, my heart is going to break...….. I am going to start back at book 2 and reread everything and look for typos so you can get all of them ready for Audio books :)

Cheryl A. Heckla

How long will the break be and how many chapters are left ?

Jed Bloch

Message spells can only be received by mages, so they couldn't send one to Erin. So it'll need to be sent to the mage guild, which would have to forward it in person. So I'd guess they raised the alarm in Liscor, but the message couldn't get to Erin in time.

Todor

Death flag?

sharkattack

Well the door had to be recharged when they retook it

Parker Groseclose

Great chapter pirateaba! When the creler emergency is dealt with, I hope inquisitive minds will look into the mystrery of why none of the [Message] spells sent from the Bloodfields were received by Erin (or other recipients).

Luca

Another great chapter! Of note though, rice is gluten free. It makes the line "Ksmvr discovered he loved rice, another gluten." a bit weird...

I'm guessing she shielded the Horns while Pieces summoned up a [Bone Behemoth] and the five working together killed the adult.

Uh oh, Toren's beyond redemption now. Somebody teased how great this chapter was, and I joined up just to read it Totally worth, wow. I bet montaressa lived, curled up in a pyramid barrier.

What’s with Erin keeping track of time? It seems rooted in worry for the horns, but I’m starting to wonder if Erin’s lvl 40 skill will let her go back a short time.

Matt

It also mentions plenty of them being half again or larger than a fully grown human. It even describes one large enough to destroy the door of the inn on exiting.

Hursha

Magical Field has been leveling up with Erin, so the Inn has more magic to feed the door. And most of the crelers were probably tiny. Like, they mentioned ones a third the size of mrsha. She's basically a toddler. That's pretty small. The bloodfields aren't very far away either. The combination makes it seem fairly reasonable to me that they could get a bunch of the things through pretty easily.

Critical Hit

This was pretty good. The main issue I have is just the door itself. Even accounting for the relatively short distance between the door and the Bloodfields--plus not all Crelers being human sized--managing to get even a thousand through seems entirely out of proportion with the door's previous capability.

Hursha

I almost don't want to know what happens next. Even if everything goes perfectly next chapter the story is going to change. With how big the world has gotten I have no idea where this is going.

Parker Groseclose

Well I think we now have a better idea of why everyone hates Crelers

I had to read this in two parts. As soon as Palt said that it would be a good day, I just couldn't read any further. Unfortunately Aba is a level 99 Tragic Net Writer, and she used [Barbed Literary Hook]. Much as I grouse, I absoulutely love the series and the work. Keep on keeping on Aba, it was a great chapter.

Seadrake

This was bonkers. There were so many theories about what the end of the last chapter meant, but I'm not sure if anyone predicted that.

Incredibly ominous so far, can't wait to read it!
