These last two chapters were amazing, and cover a storyline I have really been eager to read. It looks like these mages are touching on multiple sides. The emperor, "L" - who I am guessing is actually "Lyonette", and other stuff. Please tell me this will be the start the of the new main arc!

AHHHHH, these chapters have been so exciting! There's so many ways for this story to play out I can't predict it at this point. I always thought the overarching story for Erin would be her struggle to save money to travel to Winstram so she could find a way home, but now it's not clear how that plot will play out. Some final thoughts on this chapter: Moores inadequacy as a mage has always been pointed out but will this latest defeat push him towards learning under Grimalkin? Montressas staff seems pretty novel to Grimalkin, so could pallas try and confiscate it? Is the staff novel enough to draw Az kerash's attention? he's been keeping an eye out for interesting magical items. You are killing it this week pirate!

I imagine that the amnesia might start once the spell hits. They'd already started attacking before then, so those memories would be intact.

Some thoughts: --Seems a little odd that they didn't remark on the inn's magical aura, I feel it's been forgotten recently. --It's not clear to me how Zevara came to Erin's aid with Grimalkin. Nothing she said changes that Erin should probably go to Zevara first. --Speaking of, I hope those two get some kind of reconciliation soon since Erin is now officially a citizen. --To add: I'm pretty sure the reason Erin went to Grimalkin is due to the trauma of Venitra attacking her inn. A group of people who appear nice but seem to have done something terrible is sure to make Erin recall that, and reach out to the strongest person she knows for help again. --Wasn't Selys supposed to have amnesia after the spell dropped? --I'm going to guess that the voice Numbtongue heard was Reiss. --The combat was cool and all. But now I'm looking forward to the really good part--interpersonal drama. The Wistram students are asses, but not really bad people. Montressa in particular is understandable--there's an honest argument for Pisces being responsible for dozens of deaths. I want to see all of these new personalities bounce around in the pinball machine of people that is Liscor.
