Anyways, I would add something else snarky, but I can't. This new keyboard is aggravating! I'll have to switch back for tomorrow's chapter, but I am practicing. Praise me? Look out for tomorrow! See ya!

2019-07-19 23:34:20 +0000 UTCI thought it was pretty obviously Yellow Splatters, but the lack of anyone else saying that has me second guessing it. Anyway, my stance on goblins is "oh please God not more goblins", and I like the red fang 5 because they aren't letting it define them and they are more like people as a result. Every chapter hereafter with one of them as the focus runs the risk of the author subverting g that character arc and having their goblinness subsume their personal growth. It's not worth the risk.

2019-07-19 23:17:49 +0000 UTCSome of the Goblins, Rags in particular, basically elevated themselves to the point of main characters in the last couple books, so it's been a bit weird not seeing them at all. Then again, they do have a way of kind of hijacking the plot, given the seriousness of their arcs compared to most of the others when they aren't in immediate danger. Who knows, maybe Numbtongue's friend is one of the Goblins?

And besides, it's not like he has any idea where Rags is. By the time he was healed enough to go after her, he had no chance of finding her.

2019-07-19 14:55:26 +0000 UTCToo be honesty, I kind of felt like it was a betrayal of Pyrite's will that Numbtongue hasn't gone after Rags or Rabbiteatter. Just seems really cold how he's basically shrugged off being a goblin completely and is just chillin' at the inn. Wasn't Pyrite's last request something about taking care of Rags. I mean, he doesn't have to make it his life's work or anything, but we haven't seen that he's even really considered checking on her.

2019-07-19 12:12:53 +0000 UTCI don't really count Numbtongue as a 'Goblin chapter, not any more. He's done with the struggle of goblin life, for the most part. He's now just an interesting Wandering Inn resident with some dramatic backstory, not a roaming and roving persecuted monster.
