Also, a reminder that I'll wear any Wandering Inn t-shirt you make in the distant future

Hey Pirate! for some future Laken chapter, here's some useful info about bears that could come in handy: Bears are thought to have the best sense of smell of any animal on earth. For example, the average dog’s sense of smell is 100 times better than a humans. A blood hound’s is 300 times better. A bear’s sense of smell is 7 times better than a blood hound’s or 2,100 times better than a human. Bears acute sense of smell evolved in order to help them find food, mates, keep track of their cubs and avoid danger, particularly between competing individuals. Except for mother bears, bears are territorial animals that need to range widely to find enough food to sustain themselves. A bear’s sense of smell is so acute that they can detect animal carcases upwind and from a distance of 20 miles away. You should just assume that they can smell the food in your food bag too. Bears have an incredible sense of smell because the area of their brain that manages the sense of smell, called the olefactory bulb, is at least 5 times larger than the same area in human brains even though a bear’s brain is one third the size. Bears also have highly developed noses that contain hundred of tiny muscles and let them manipulate them with the same dexterity as people’s fingers. The surface area inside their 9 inch noses also has hundreds of times more surface area and receptors than a human’s.

Hobs are said many times to be just shorter than a human adult. so roughly 4'6"-5'7". Since Goblins physically look up to Hobs and are said to be the size of human children, adult ones probably range from 3' to 4'4". Strange specimens like Eater of Spears or Tremborag who are over 6'5" could potentially be a third evolution of the species.

4-ish feet?

Does anyone have a grasp of how large the hobgoblins are?

Andrew Denton

We need a fanart height scale like in DnD books. XD

I know what you mean. I still don't have a good mental visualization of the antinium soldiers, they are like 9' tall or something. Never Illiev, everybody loves big chests, commissions art for his weirder looking characters it might benefit pirate to do the same

Alan McBrayer

While reading this chapter, I've realized I no longer know how tall characters are in relation to each other. Erin is so childish and silly I make her child sized when next to characters in my head. Except Lyonette because I think she's a similar age? And then Lyonette beomes child sized when she's with Erin, then Mrsha becomes super small and then Moore is really confusing.

T chapter any time soon? I feel like it's been danced around but would love to see T again.

Thank you! I hope you take a break now and relax for the new arc. You deserve it!
