Haven't gotten into that, but rest assured, corpse acquisition isn't that easy unless you're in the middle of a war. There may be payments of a very hefty nature involved, and criminal corpses are, ah, shall we say easier for Selphids to obtain? But freshness and undamaged bodies are also qualifiers which makes life harder for Selphids, even rich and famous ones like Jelaqua.

One thing I was thinking about, and I'm not sure if it has been addressed: How does society handle treat possession of a corpse when related to Selphid body acquisition? Thus far it just seems like Selphid have no problems obtaining corpses and people have no qualms with them inhabiting former loved ones. I would think that towns that Selphids who claimed bodies would have to quickly leave town due to the distress of seeing someone wearing a friend's body around would cause.
