Schedule Update (not a chapter)

Hi there. I already posted about this on my Discord, but since there might be some of you who aren't on there, I figured I should post it here as well to keep everyone in the loop:

So! It's been a while. After weeks that turned into months of struggling to finish a single chapter, I finally gave up and admitted I was facing burnout. I apologize for not talking about this earlier, but my brain gets some real weird anxiety about discussing these things and feeling like a failure for admitting when I can't do something.

I still want to finish Feast or Famine. Although my goals for it and my feelings toward it have changed dramatically over the past year, I still want to finish what I started. I just need to take things a lot slower.

I've set myself a goal that I hope will be reasonable enough for me to actually follow through on: one chapter in January, two chapters in February, and figuring things out from there. I'd like to be finished by midsummer, but I can't promise that because I really don't know how quickly I'll recover.

And then, once book three is complete, I'm going to take a break from Feast or Famine for a while. Book three won't be the end of the story, but it will be the end of this part of the story, and hopefully a compelling enough ending that people won't mind not getting the rest of that story until I'm ready to start writing, which might take a long time. I'd like to write a few other projects between the end of Act 1 and the beginning of Act 2, but I won't talk about those because, as ever, I have no idea what will actually take form and what will get discarded.
