The blonde guy that looks up to Kazuma is named Dust. He is featured more in the early manga chapters than he was in season 1. Specifically, an early chapter showed that Dust and other beginner adventurers were jealous of Kazuma's highly skilled teammates. Kazuma agrees to swap parties with Dust. Kazuma ends up being a huge asset to Dust's party and they want to keep him permanently, but he finds Dust, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness all beat up and agrees to switch back at Dust's request. It was the chapter following the Winter Shogun chapter and it had the same theme as Kazuma's death and resurrection in that chapter, so I think they just skipped it in the anime. There is now a spinoff series where Dust is the MC.

2026-02-14 11:16:37 +0000 UTCWhen Aqua resolves problems on her own there is a 9/10 chance that she caused the problems herself. Most of the time she doesn’t resolve anything though and Kazuma has to clean up after her.
