no no, the idea is that it's exclusive long-term. It will stop being exclusive when I include it in a far-off future release, not that is's exclusive to people who's been my patrons for long. I would've called it 'long-term PATRON exclusive' if I ever decided to do something that nonsensical :)

Without wishing to go too into the psychology and business aspect of this decision. By doing this you leave it behind the pay wall, By giving it to long term Patreons only not only are you leaving it behind a pay wall but you are asking for extended payments. It's a very old and scummy business practice that can dishearten people especially steam users. Just a suggestion from a business person and someone who has only been subbed for a few months.
