The Last of Us Episode 3 Watch-Along

Comments

I've heard that the writers couldn't resist developing a 200 page story about Bill and Frank because they love them so much. When they were done reading it in the writer's room there wasn't a dry eye in the place. Although I like the "Timer Reaction" idea, I'm missing a chance to hear what you think about the episodes as a whole, where you think the story is going, and any after-the-show comments. Maybe I'm just wanting more Eralia! I've watched all of your TLOU 1/2 game playthrough and I'm now catching up on the show. I know you're just starting your YouTube/Patreon journey but you're doing great. Keep up the good work and I'm excited to see where you go next!

RIGHT?? Thanks, Lyric! 🤍

Thanks for being here, Jack! I didn't want to risk anything with the copyright, and unfortunately didn't have too much time to figure out how to "Patreon" since I was leaving. I'll have to do some more research! Thanks!

eralia

Ahh I didn't make that connection but it definitely makes sense!! He kept calling out to get Joel... it's the little things! Thanks for sharing, Adam! 🤍

eralia

Thanks, eclipse! So beautiful and haunting... all they did was show a love story but it was *so* much more than that. It spoke to so many, in such a lovely and simple way, and somehow they didn't have to say much to convey the true depth of their story. 🤍

Thank you so much Johannes! 🤍

eralia

Absolutely, Andrew. SO heartbreaking... thank you for watching it alongside us!! 🤍

eralia

Thanks Miroh!! This episode definitely hit every feel it possibly could've... from the writing to the acting to everything in between. It was beautiful. 🤍

eralia

So. Sad. 😭

eralia

Absolutely agree! And I love all the small details the writers thought through and added, it makes the adaptation that much more special. Thanks, frantically! 🤍

I got to the first lunch scene and I was already crying. I got to Bill playing the piano and I was sobbing out loud. It's very nice to see someone who cried at least half as much as I do during this episode.

New patron. You add some discussion to the end of these, get a proper blurred-out corner picture in picture of the video for easier sync and you've got yourself the beginnings of a great Patreon here. I hope you do some movies as well. I look forward to the next LoU reaction. Srsly though, add some insight at the end, even if it's just a minute. :) Cheers from Texas.

I love how the show keeps adding flavor to the story in the game. For instance, the game keeps alluding to some "favor" that Bill owes Joel without saying why... In the show, we can guess it's because he came to help Bill and Frank while Bill was recovering from his gunshot wound

I have been checking every day to see when you got to this... I was absolutley floored by this episode it is a masterpiece and turned me into a blubbering mess... In less than an hour they created and told one of the greatest love story I have ever seen. I much prefer this story for Bill and Frank.

Hi Eralia, I just became a Patreon. I've followed your channel on YT since you started your play-through of TLOU Pt.1. I love all of your TLOU content. I wish you a speedy recovery after this rollercoaster of an emotional ride. Keep up the fantastic work you do, and I will certainly follow along with your reactions and now your play-through of TLOU pt.2. Send my best regards from Norway.

I had seen this episode 3 or 4 times. It has been months. This lets-watch hit me right back in the feels as it has done every time. I was a blubbering fool once again. The lore expansion was chef's kiss

loved your reaction as always, this episode made me sob too lol. ive watched a bunch of reactions to this and pretty much everyone at least tears up. i honestly prefer this version of bill and frank's story, i think it shows more love/respect to the characters and isn't the typical "bury your gays" tragic ending. they got to live a good life together and go out on their own terms, pretty much the best case scenario in the world they live in. also, that was some incredible acting from nick offerman and murray bartlett!! they were so good.

This was such a great episode, I loved the music during Bill and Frank's day. It makes you feel sad and happy at the same time.

Such wonderful writing. The attention to the little things. Like when Joel was about to open their bedroom door but the front door closed pulling his attention away. Why did that door close? As Bill states in the letter. He left their bedroom window open. Which created the draft to cause the front door to close. I also felt there was a nod to the second game in Bill's letter. When talks about the one person worth saving he says in the letter "I saved him," In the beginning of the second game when Joel is telling Tommy about Salt Lake, Tommy says "Jesus Christ Joel, what did you do?" And Joel says "I saved her."

Omg I love how you listen to your fan base ❤️I seen someone asked you to do a countdown and you did one!!! You are the sweetest! I’m excited to see you react to this episode. Didn’t expect for them to make a huge change like that but I wasn’t upset at all! Very heartfelt episode!
