Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc

Comments

Reze biting Denjis tongue out and the look she gave him and beam on the horizon was the peak of the movie to me... she was a demon... she was relentless, she never stopped chasing him...

Memento Forever

I can see!

HAWATARI NIOKU CENTI by Maximum the Hormone. It's the 3rd ending to Chainsaw Man. The version in the movie is an extended version that has not been released yet, unfortunately.

GodZefir

Whats the song that plays around 1:19.42?

Zelosxt

I mean i accidently killed a toad with a lawnmower once and it kind of traumatized me...

Erenah

Loved the theater experience, also the art style changed to match the manga after some criticism from Japanese audiences.

Nicholas Karchut

It’s bad when Fujimoto, the writer went to see the movie and says “I thought ‘Makima did something unnecessary.’ Then I thought ‘Why didn’t the author let Reze and Denji meet? I couldn’t sleep after that.” Same guy who also said this about the the two before the movie came out: "Reze exits the story here. I like it when the protagonist and heroine don’t end up together and I want them to carry that weight forever. That's why I absolutely didn't want Denji and Reze to get together, or for Reze to become an ally.”

Greivinator

she should watch baki, just sayin'

01:03:36 Here, let me make that fear worse: Once upon a time, while mowing, a piece of stick broke out of the exhaust of my lawn mower. It bounced off a nearby tree, and I watched in slow motion as it spun towards my face. It landed, just perfectly, vertically against my eye socket, bouncing off harmlessly. It happened to be *exactly* the right length to hit the bone. Any shorter, and it still would've hit my eye, just on the blunt end. Same day that a walnut did the same think and conked me in the head, but that's less terrifying.

Aliulo

a little fun fact, the mangaka went to watch the movie and unironically said "why would makima do that to reze at the end, why couldn't she just let her see denji" MF YOU WROTE THE DAMN THING

Zuku

Lawnmowers are often considered the bombs of the lawn maintenance world

Tiskeru

I watched this in theaters in Osaka during my trip to Japan when it originally came out because I had a couple hours to kill. Best decision ever, it really is a different experience feeling that sound hit you hard during the peak moments. Chainsaw and Shark vs Typhoon gave me chills.

Kaiza_kun

Not the "coolest death." The "worst possible death." Crunchyroll translators translated it wrong.

Princess Paladin

That takedown at 52:00 was straight out of No Country for Old Men.

Jon Rob

I saw this one in theatres and its still just as good, the 3d experience was actually done really well too

Ivaldi

I love Typhoon Devil's design as a baby throwing a tantrum <3

Catch the Rainbow

Yeah the common fear, THE LAWNMOWER. Loved the react, great content as always. Reze is the kinda girl you wanna let ruin your life. "she can make me worse" energy.

I’m sure someone has said this already, but monarch butterflies are poisonous to spiders. So they symbolism for them in the pool scene is Reze is the spider trapping Denji the butterfly to take him, but in her efforts to lure him in, she ends up falling in love for him as well. So while the spider traps and kills the butterfly, it dies as well, symbolizing that Reze ended up falling for Denji just as he fell for her.

Does anyone know how I suggest shows?
