They didn't finish Michael's story. First of all, he didn't open the second restaurant, HK One. He tried to but it remains inoperational. But apparently, after his time on the show, his wife gave birth to his daughter which passed away very shortly after due to complications. This sent him spiralling which caused a divorce and later in his life his addiction went to such an extent that he ended up homeless and he was later found living under a bridge. Luckily he was able to recover and is now currently remarried, has a new daughter, and running a food truck business.

My hand slipped and nicked my hand so lightly I didn’t even feel it and answered chef and by the time I went back to cutting, I looked down to see blood everywhere. Andrew’s cut reminds me of that, that cut could be shallow and slight but yeah, hospital trip when you lose that much blood and the fingers bleed like mother fucks. I’m not even the only guy, half the kitchen had gone to the hospital at some point for a minor slip that lead to a hand cut, it’s such a common thing

Andrew might have been motivated to push ahead and fuck over Ralph after Ralph spent all season fucking over Andrew. And honestly only Andrew and Elsie were good picks for team building everyone else was either pretty shit or couldn't do anything alone

Unfortunately despite the show showing that michael accepted the apprenticeship he actually didn't, he wanted to stay in the US to be with his family. Unfortunately circumstances such as the death of his infant daughter led to Michael becoming a drug addict. He lost his job, his wife, and his home. He was homeless for a while until eventually he attempted suicide but was found and saved. After that he got clean and sober, got remarried to someone else and i believe is back cooking somewhere since covid inspired him to make food trucks and outdoor restaurants
