It's how unreasonable she is portrayed...But when you REALLY think about how horrific homeworld is she her decision to want to destroy their oppressors makes more sense. Homeworld shattered their friends, fused the pieces into horrific mutant weapons, corrupted everyone but the few Rose saved. Homeworld are monsters and Bismuth just wants to create a means to protect herself and everyone she loves. However the big problem with her is when her mentality is questioned she snaps. The thing is, it isn't that Rose was right and she was wrong. The problem is they both had clashing beliefs that ended in Bismuth being bubbled. Rose didn't tell her friends probably because she was ashamed that things came to this. She couldn't be the leader Bismuth wanted, someone who would be willing to take the necessary steps to win a war because it goes against her belief that all life is sacred.
