I mean, my mom was never calm but if my dad was ever like "Take a seat" instead of yelling, you know you genuinely fucked up, and he was a master of making you feel bad about it.

Like why not just let them be who they are and do things that they want (within reason obviously) because from what I understand those kinds of parents are what lead people to having awful and incredibly strenuous lifestyles and will ultimately lead them to constantly being unhappy in the pursuit of unachievable perfection.

2026-01-02 01:28:36 +0000 UTCI do hate how the bodysnatch episode kind of just glosses over the fact Steven, even if accidently, took away Lar's autonomy and tried to force him into a relationship with Sadie, and basically made pretty much all of his relationships weird, just for the sake of a "Haha look at how mean this loser is" joke for the audience. But it's totally okay cause Steven was right in the end, yay! Then again the series as a whole kind of glosses over how weird it is that Steven keeps trying to force people into his viewpoint which leads to uncomfortable scenarios for them. i do like that SU: Future tackles that.
