I think Canis is Rudo's father. That was multiple spellcasters ago, but Gob died young due to illness from the pollution. It's possible none of the spellcasters lived long lives.

That with the fact that they were called "The Undertaker" could mean they were either a sort of "Guard dog" or, since Cerberus is written backwards, they could have been someone who instead let people INTO the "Underworld" (guessing underworld could mean the pit/ surface, which would also explain how Rudo is on the sphere because "The Undertake" might have been able to come and go from the sphere and surface)

So, no clue what this means yet.
But the name "Canis Surebrec" is chosen deliberately.
Canis is latin and typically means "dog". The term "Canis Lupus" is the latin name for wolf.
So the "Canis" is clearly related to dogs or wolves.
Surebrec, meanwhile, is just Cerberus backwards. Total Alucard/Dracula type of situation.
Again, no clue what this is going to entail, but probably a good idea to keep it in mind going forward.
