So we all agree hotel Transylvania was a great trilogy with nothing after that. Yep nothing at all But speaking on Sandler films you should totally watch Spaceman (2024) one of his most unique films. It’s hella rare to see Sandler play a straight role but damn the man still got those chops

2025-12-21 03:36:21 +0000 UTCI would have enjoyed this movie a lot more when it came out if it wasnt for the fact there was no Adam Sandler. It is a fun idea with the monster gang becoming humans and Johnny becoming a monster. Plus I love Ericka's character a bunch so seeing her again was a treat. I think sticking to the accident of the human/monster swap instead of a torn relationship between Dracula and Johnny was bad.

I guess that 18 million number you found was just the price Amazon Prime Video paid for the streaming license minus the budget to actually make the movie. So it didn't technical bomb. And funnily enough critics didn't really seem to think it was the worst one of the bunch.

They could have made it Johnny's choice to pursue this because he was worried about his aging. That is a problem that would have worked great for a fourth movie. He's worried about growing old and leaving mavis and denis behind so he turns into a monster but then hijinks and he learns that one precious lifetime with who you love is better. Im not sure about that plot but aging up the characters would have been great for the 4th movie.
