In modern day, this is treated as a kink that the general public doesn't speak about; of course many internet-savvy people would become inured to this type of visual stimuli, but on a broad level, so while the display of pornography on a broad level is considered taboo in many social circles, the inverse is also true, with many circles like this Patreon community or the furry community in general welcoming it. When viewing at this from an out-of the box perspective, it's all quite strange. This may just be my opinion, but it is difficult for me to examine this type of concept in an unbiased light due to the natural association of "pornography = pleasure", which simplifies the angles of thought put into the topic. Why examine this on a scholarly and non-diagetic level? "It's just pornography, you're not meant to think too much about it, just masturbate and feel good." But why should I feel resume mindlessly pursuing pleasure without a care of an objective analysis? That is simply hedonism (or so i would initially assume). When not clouded by lust, I can attempt to view things rationally, like I try to do now. Though the more I think about perspective in regards to modern pornography, the more complex it gets as assumptions come into play. When initially writing this, I believed that the attraction towards anthromorphic sexualized characters is due to the tabboo nature of the content. This can be compounded by the fact that this is AI-generated, which is an even greater taboo amongst even social circles that appreciate pornography due to both internal factors like the usage of machine learning to automate a traditionally artistic process and external ones such as environmental impact of using said technologies. However, the automatic assumption that those who enjoy said content are thus hedonistic is flawed. After all, that assumptipn does not take into account the additional circumstances in which why someone would be attracted to this content. It would be statistically unlikely, and at the same time improper, to assume that every patron of this specific circle is a hedon just for being a member. Some are equally likely to just be a casual observer. Others may wish to realize fantasies that could never come to fruition due to limitations like financial corcumstance, and find that the options provided here are efficient. Of course, these are all assumptions that provide the benefit of the doubt, and could also very likely have no bearing on the truth of the matter. Just as likely it could be that every person that views this content is a hedon, every person could instead be a casual observer that finds small enjoyment in what the creator offers. It could even be a mix of both, or a fourth category entirely that does not fit my current lens of analysis. As to why i posted this under a random Patreon post of an NSFW creator that uses AI to generate pornography? I awoke in the middle of the night, saw a notification of this post on my phone. I did not immediately get horny and perform the usual business, and became rather introspective when picking my conscious mind for ideas, which then jumped to philosophy. It is good to become mindful of what you do, especially since the "self" is the only one that can truly measure and determine what we can and cannot act upon. - 'Should I upgrade my membership for more benefits?' - 'What would I do with these benefits? What characters should I choose and in what manner should they be portrayed?' - 'I'm glad that I can get this much value out of something that would nornally cost hundreds of dollars from a normal artist.' - 'This feels good. Seeing more of this type of stuff makes me happy.' - 'It's been of a rough day. Seeing this person post cheers me up somewhat.' - 'My finances have been rough lately. I'll need to decide if I downgrade or cancel this entirely..' These are all thoughts that ran through my mind in the past. I have no doubt that others have experienced similar things in regards to paid NSFW content. Do i intend for any change to come about from my posting of this comment? Not particularly. Whether things change or not, or even if others respond to my comment or ignore it, i don't mind. I wished to exercise my mind in a way that contrasts my normal habits. Normally I'd be a lurker and only drop the occasional comment on posts I like and say something short like "peak" or some emojis like "🔥" or "👍😤👍" to exemplify my interest and satisfaction but I didn't feel like doing that this time. I likely won't feel this philosophical after going back to bed and waking up, so this possibly may be the only introspective thing I ever type on this platform in general. I might go back to my usual habits, or I may re-examine how I initially percieve things and practice self-discipline. Only time will tell. Regardless, I'll be sticking around since I do enjoy Bealce's content. Their art reminds me of another creator I subbed to, though I'm not sure if its actually them; wouldn't matter much to me tbh.
