1:25:30 - Oh gods that room would REEEK.
You don't really realize just how horrid blood or dead bodies can smell when you see it on TV. Not to overshare, but I have been inside an apartment where there was an undiscovered body for 2-3 days and it smelled so bad, people couldn't enter without a facemask 3 days afterwards with all windows having been left open for those 3 days.

Yeah unfortunately the justice system is absolutely terrible when it comes to these things and the show doesnt depict it in an unrealistic way :(

When I first watched Dexter, it was so weird seeing Rita being so kind and wholesome. First time I'd ever seen her as an actor was in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Darla was the polar opposite of Rita.
Edit: I love O'Brien, the only enlisted man in Star Trek, a hero, a union man, and the writers favorite whipping boy.
I also like the O'Brien polycule meme, it'd be a great rotation circle.
O'Brien
O'Brien's wife Keiko
O'Brien and Keiko's girlfriend Kira
O'Brien's boyfriend Julian
Julian's boyfriend Garak
Kira's boyfriend, Odo, doesn't come to the rotation circle, cause he's a cop, and he wants plausible deniability.

1:14:30 .. I mean he does on a regular intervall carry BAGS of BODY PARTS from a kill room to his boat to then dump in the ocean....
+ as a "predator" he probably works out to stay ahead of his potential victims...
But I do agree - picking up a grown mans LIMP body is NOT a small task

Lawyer dude was right, in her own statement she says she let him in the house and then invited him to her room. As viewers we can clearly see the situation as it is and have clear 4k footage of it, but in a courtroom? The only thing they're going off of is what it appears to be, going any further is assuming and very easily opens the door to a countersuit for violation of justice, prior records are taken into account but cannot be the end all be all. it sounds, and honestly to an extent is, horrible but proper and current evidence has to be levied to uphold justice.... I sound so bad rn but im just such a nerd for 'as written' laws ;[

Chinas requiring influencers to have a degree in the topics they are discussing. Now i am not a lawyer and idk if pom is but alicia is not and i find it weird when they talk so confidently about the right and wrong way to practice law while holding no credibility. I will give it to alicia that right or wrong that woman has endless confidence and im jealous lol

The trouble is that the only proof she has of his intentions was her word. The established facts, that she openly agreed to in her own statement, are that she invited him in and took her into her bedroom. It's not incompetence to recognize the reality of the situation and what the actual *provable* facts in evidence are- and the only things that could actually be *proved* were that she violated a custody agreement, invited him into the house, invited her to her bedroom, and cracked him in the head with a bat. It sucks massively but that *is* how the legal system works- no matter how obvious it it is, even from an outside perspective, that she was in the right, if it went to court he has a case.
The major kicker of it is that she openly admitted to violating custody agreement- "death in the family trumps carnival" is true on a moral level, sure, but she not on a legal one- and the violations that Paul had made never went reported.

If he breaks a visitation agreement then she should NOT open the door and she is given contact of his parole officer to inform, i agree with your point but that is not viable cause they're looking at the facts and the fact is she didn't inform his parole officer AND she opened the door for him, that's the reply she will get REALISTICALLY.

So, this police procedure with the assault case reminds me of something very similar that happened near where I live. The police there don't have a very good reputation, and that's coming from basically every other police force in the tri-county area. There was a lady who was assaulted by her boyfriend, and the police kept refusing to follow-up on her statement. They came over and told the lady that nothing was going to come of it and did some other pretty callous stuff on more than one occasion.
I agree that this isn't how the system SHOULD work, but a lot of the time it is definitely how it DOES work. Frequently, if it's less work and headache for the department to ignore or take a certain direction, then that's how it goes.
I could say a lot more, but I'd rather not reveal my precise location. Even a tiny hint about the most recent famous example of 'police work' from my area would give it away in an instant.

So the S word he used, is the Latino version of the N word with a hard R. It's used with the same hate that the N word is used towards black people.
Basically, the captain is a racist towards Latinos.
