They told her immediately what they wanted and she invited them in, had them remove their defense against her and had already worked her way into Delmon's head before Enjin even insulted her given how quickly he retaliated. Not to mention the effects of her boots. You can cheer for whoever you want, but the cleaners are not the bad guys in this story.

She says "no way" and effectively fires a warning shot. The group doubles and triples down despite multiple opportunities to deescalate. Then after finally subduing her and rendering her harmless, one of them holds her down and beats her into unconsciousness. These are supposed to be the people we root for? They're little better than raiders.

2025-09-30 19:16:12 +0000 UTCGIRL Thank you to the chatters who decided to throw a massive wet blanket over what was an amusing Alicia moment, all over a fictional characters theorised age. That was absolute cringe. I can only hope that most were doing it as a comedic gotcha to try and enhance the bit and weren't seriously worried, but either way it turned out pretty disruptive and quite the mood killer. Well done Alicia for being able to push past the awkwardness and get back into the flow of the episode again, you saved it. As for this episode; my curiosity towards everyone's back story has increased ten fold. You just know there's going to be trauma involved somewhere, the poor things.

I’ve not read the manga, but if what I’ve heard/read about her past is true, it makes it even worse IMO.

I had this thought when he talked to Remlin about their powers - Enjin has this compulsion to try and understand situations (as seeing Amo's romance talk as the price for info) and powers (Rudo, Remlin, Amo, etc.), but in the case of Remlin got angry at his own lack of understanding. Enjin seems - at least to me - to have built up this framework of how he understands the 'rules' of the world; negotiation, Giver powers, etc. A significant desire to deconstruct and understand what's around him, but he ALSO has such a strong belief in that self-constructed framework that when something pops up that doesn't neatly fit into said framework (Remlin's explanation of their powers), he snaps to anger at something he doesn't understand, or that doesn't "fit" within that preconceived framework. Overall, really enjoying his character and hope to see plenty more from him.

But the battle was already won and she was totally powerless since everyone had their masks on. Besides, whether she deserved it or not, the visual of a little girl who couldn’t defend herself in that moment being brutally pummeled just makes the scene be that much darker.
