2026-02-06 12:12:07 +0000 UTCThey couldn’t have Jinshi dance as the moon fairy in front of everyone because he would have recognized by those who know him (the four high concubines for instance)- the envoys demanding to see the moon fairy (or a beauty like her) is pretty much like Lakan’s request to see blue roses last season- a challenge that is potentially impossible (or at least very difficult) that the one it is posed to is expected to meet (and whoever “loses” I guess loses some face or whatever- like if the challenge is met successfully, the one who posed it “loses”, at least that’s my interpretation of this)
