Its easy to call Garb out for not "saving Ace" But Grab hole character is "I rather die with principles intact, that break them to live another day" So while death is sad, Grab would rather see Ace die doing what Ace believed in, than Ace tring and wisely himself out of the path he took. Its fine being like "Grab is taking rules to serious" because yes, that's his character flaw, and why both Luffy and Dragon said "F current rules world needs to change"
