Yes Subaru is acting like a giga dick in these episodes but the call to go to the mansion isn't exactly incorrect, how will he know to kill himself/loop if he doesn't have information? What if he waits and gets information late and his reset point updates again?

2025-08-26 11:02:49 +0000 UTCI wouldn't think to call Subaru toxic especially to our worlds standards. he isn't stopping her from talking to friends or saying you can't talk to boys (I mean he does get jealous when Emilia is around other boys besides the clown, I will admit that.) Emilia will still defo DIE REPEATEDLY without Subaru's return by death ability simply due to her being a half elf. Subaru is certainly being stubborn and really dumb at this point but its pretty certain he will eventually hit enough walls have some sort of breakdown and/or epiphany and realise he is being stupid. But, I don't feel comparing him to toxic lovers/partners from our world when Emilia's life is actually and continues being in constant danger is the right word for it. at least to me anyway maybe it is fuck if I know.
