Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

I just couldn't...

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Insane to me that she is bored in his and not somethign liek Captia nMarvel well nothing happens. there is nothing boring to me in the start it's even one of the most interesting concepts so far in marvel

Fenronin (Dorian Dubourg)

It was a bunt that flew up hitting the batter in the face before landing in the mitt of the catcher.

Alicia: "hope we're hitting a home run with this one, hopefully sumnt juicy" Narrator: *it was not a home run*

TheNoobThatCould

I've never watched this movie. when I saw you post this I thought I'd get to it when I feel like watching a bad marvel film. today was finally the day and when I saw the video was only an hour long I immediately knew why. Thank you for helping me not waste 2 hours of my life lmao

SolidFiction

yeah, the movie was awful, one of their worst but there were some parts i liked, except you kinda have to get to the end to actually see them, also, i put off watching this reaction because i didnt want to rewatch it.

Draconic

Valid decision, this one hurt...

Josh Lalonde

I think a big problem with this movie was it's reliance upon stuff Outside of the movie, specifically with Loki and with the comic books. What sustained me through the 'boring' bits was my knowledge from the comic books about Kang and my knowledge from Loki and 'He Who Remains'. The anticipation I felt based on that was what sustained me. While you were like, "Shut-up, I don't care about your backstory!" I was all, "Oh shit, she mentioned 'The Conqueror!' It's HAPPENING!!!" For someone with no knowledge of Kang or how it relates to 'He Who Remains' I can imagine this all seemed empty and pointless. To get in on what I'm on about: In Marvel Canon (Movies, TV, Comics, the whole shebang). 'Kang the Conqueror' is one of the most powerful and dangerous villains in the multiverse. Right up there with Thanos even. What makes him so dangerous? He's a genius engineer, like Tony. He's from thousands of years in the future, with access to all that crazy tech. He's got time-tech. There are ordinarily MILLIONS if not BILLIONS of Kangs out there in the multiverse, even if somehow you manage to defeat one, there's always a Better Version of him out there that's probably gonna wanna have words once he hears about what you did. 'He Who Remains' from Loki? He's a Kang Variant. That war in the future across mulitiverses that erased timelines? That was all Kang Variants. What made the Sacred Timeline so 'Sacred' was that 'He Who Remains' engineered it so that it was impossible for a Kang to rise there. If you have no clue who Kang is, or that Kang is a 'He Who Remains' variant and that it's Kang (The Conqueror) you saw in the opening and not 'He Who Remains' then all of the Everything that's intended to build-up dramatic suspense just falls flat.

Molly McAllister

Love the rant and the explaination :D After I saw it in the cinema, even the normy MCU Fans where disapointed. And the movie will not be better in the later stages

MoD+

it wasn't my favourite but I did enjoy it. I was trying to think why and I think I did actually zone out for alot of the parts up to where you stopped so it actually makes sense why my opinion of it as a whole is alot more positive lol. I'm also someone who tends to go into these movies with barely any expectations so when you said you were expecting more antman from an antman movie it kinda blew my mind cause I just never noticed that when I watched it.

Daniel

Oh boy the first one, huh? I don't blame you

Leticia

Thunderbolts was actually pretty solid too but yeah that’s about the list I have too

Samuel of Gythia

Honestly the only things from marvel worth watching now are Moon Knight, Guardians 3, and the new Fantastic 4 movie. Oh and deadpool! Maybe Ms Marvel but I personally felt it was too kiddish for me to really enjoy. I literally can't even name a movie after this other than guardians, Thor, and F4

Archie Curlz

So Honestly. I gave up on marvel movies a while back. After endgame there were only a few I liked. I did not watch this one but from what I have seen from this I am not thinking I missed out.

Nunya Biz

I’m so excited about her watching it. I cried the first time I saw it and I know I’m gonna cry this time too. I look forward to crying with her.

Dragonstar868

On the bright side, I think Guardians 3 is next.

rainyfriday

only redeeming quality of this movie is Johnathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror after seeing him as He Who Remains in Loki. That being said they are probably never going to follow up on Kang after they fired Johnathan Majors. Also the background in this film looks cool but that should not be the focus of the visual effects artists instead of a main character who looks worse and makes the film worse.

Alex Pinals

this was what I was expecting tbh

Bera

I dont get the hate for this movie. I really enjoyed it when i watched it. The only marvel movie i didnt like the whole way through was love and thunder and since then ive come around and like that movie

Immeasurably Me

Honestly I'm kinda glad you gave up on this...

Adam & Miranda

ya this movie is bad

Adam & Miranda

this movie deadass made Alicia take a 2 day break im dead 😭

Credpath05

Tbh I saw this movie high off shrooms and weed at the same time so that's why I like the movie but otherwise, yeah no this is by far one of the worst marvel movies, at least top 3 in my opinion.

Nick Lopez

If you watch cutesy anime then I recommend Fuffly Paradise, or social awkward witch who op and has to attend fantasy school to protect someone, it’s a comedy, then Silent Witch is for you

Ryan Bradley

The main reason to watch this movie, would be the introduction of Kang. He would have been the next big marvel villain. But, the actor did some things that got him fired from the franchise, and he is no longer the big villain. So in the end, there is little reason to watch it. If you want to skip it, I would say that it is perfectly fine. Not a good movie, and no reason to watch it.

Christopher Grove

I’d say if you really want to watch it, do it with someone you can talk with. Because it ties to the Loki series. I get it is pretty bad story telling and all.

Yaboi7117

Please watch the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special before watching Gotg vol3, it has an important reveal about one of the members that gets mentioned in v3

King'sBard

i just realized u havent finished hahahahahahahhahahah

Thinkace

I empathize with you. The fact of the matter is that marvel was still riding the success of Endgame and No Way Home so they didn't try with a lot of these. And how they butcher Scott and Cassie's relationship in here is so shitty. They had some of the most enjoyable interactions in the franchise. The second Ant-Man movie didn't blow me away, but the scenes between Scott and Cassie were always fantastic or adorable or both. Here, they just threw it away for no reason

Jay Dot

only thing i can remember from this movie is that the only reason they won in the end was cuz of time traveling ants that somehow build an tech advanced army on their own

Darkpants

YOU GONNA DO SUPERMAN!!!!!! LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!!

the_dood_999

You’ll enjoy the next movie more

Uncle Urdnot

When alicia strated watching marvel movies she mentioned how she only heard bad things about them. Thats because we were in this era of movies. Also what is crazy about Bill Murray?

Lightinger

So, personally, I did enjoy this movie *as a whole.* I enjoyed it more than Love and Thunder, at least. That one felt more abusive toward the character of Thor than this one does, portraying the God of Thunder as just... mentally broken, with intrusive, bad comedy forced down our throats. Scott, at least, is driven by the motivation that he has had since the first movie: his daughter Cassie's safety, and the film does respect that. When he's on screen for it. I do hope that you come back to it with another person to help you through (just have them watch up to where you stopped, so you're not having to slog through the first part again, maybe?), because I do feel like it gets better. It even has ants. Fundamentally, though, 99% of the problem is that this movie was set up to bring the next big bad to the movie side of the MCU (and out of the Loki series), rather than being about Ant-Man, himself. And then... the actor of said big bad got convicted of domestic abuse and harassment, and was summarily dropped by Disney... leaving the whole arc of that character in the garbage bin... unless they ever *actually* get an actor to replace Majors to take over that role. But, yeah, Janet really screwed up by refusing to even give the basic information of "it is full of dangerous people down there, and it is vitally important to not even try to study it." But, no... she just pretended like nothing bad (aside from being cut off in an alien world for all of those years) happened to her. Her refusal to share any information is why everyone is down here, and... yeah. Still, they shouldn't have been studying it, even then. Ah well. I am sorry that you couldn't make it through this one solo. I really can't fault you for that. I will say that there are good Marvel movies still to come, but also... there are some real stinkers, too. I _really_ hope that you catch up with the shows, though. They're starting the process of integrating the results of their events into the movies.

Dorran

Honestly I love this movie for 2 reasons, 1. The Hank Pym scene at the end was BADASS and super fycking cool, his aura and his control over his army of ants while standing against Kang was genuinely cool and probably the most badass scenes I've seen in the MCU. 2. Ant-Man's brawl against Kang was brutal for me and I felt super sad at seeing Paul Rudd's face getting beat up and bloody. Other than those, nothing really comes to mind about this movie.

NamesLoo Official

Good choice, this is easily the worst MCU movie. It's this and Love and Thunder that are my least favorite. What a time to be a marvel fan when these came out

Kyle Necker

Unfortunately this connects to the end of Loki season one and possibly other things in the future. Which is a problem with the MCU in itself.

Hotaru Tomoe

Creature Commandos is a must watch, it’s canon to the current DCU. Also the Sui side Squad movie (the better movie) is a part of James Gunn’s DCU (and Peacemaker)

Gilmez

I enjoyed the movie, but in the way that you enjoy the old 90s action blockbusters. It's shiny, there's action. You actually cut out early before the worst of it, not even lying. This was the worst Marvel movie and it isn't really close. Falcon and the Winter Soldier is loads better.
