I feel like the name of the anime is whats detracting those from watching it. I was avoiding this show myself and didnt give it a chance until you reacted to it. The title gives off a generic romance type vibe. I assumed it was going to be abput some girl dying in the summer. Now that Ive seen you react to it Ive gotten hooked to it and binged the episodes thus far.

Right now, this is really the only series that I’m actually interested in that Alicia is watching I like when she watches Marvel movies but other than that a lot of the shows she’s been watching. Just haven’t been driving with me. I’m praying to God that she will finally go back to watching She-Ra but I’m not holding my breath. I don’t think she’ll ever go back to that show even though it’s probably one of the greatest shows that she’ll ever watch but this show intrigues the hell out of me.

Happy to see you’re still down to continue this on Patreon. Sad to see some anime just don’t get the chance by some people, I didn’t know what to expect but the first 5 minutes of the first episode immediately hooked me because I’m just too curious what’s gonna happen

I've been WAITING for this one as a manga reader! The anime did it more than justice. I'd even say that the anime hit HARDER than the manga. The whole choir thing as well as the conversation with his mother didn't happen in the manga, but it added so much and really drove home the fact that Yoshiki was gonna try to kill himself no matter the outcome.
I also really love the parallels between "Hikaru" and Yoshiki. The queer allegory of being a monster in a small conservative town, just wanting to be loved and accepted for who you are. And the merging together at the end, signifying Yoshiki's acceptance of both "Hikaru" and himself UUUUUUUUUUUUU i cry millions of tears foverer over these two
