2025-10-11 03:59:38 +0000 UTCThe concept of “mystery” (the force powering all magecraft and magic that loses potency the more is revealed through the scientific method) in this universe has always been my favorite version of an excuse as to why certain powers aren’t completely known/explained and non replicable between mages. Despite having a whole Clock Tower organization dedicated to teaching and researching magecraft, if they research too much into one field, the mystery there would be completely lost, rendering the magecraft useless
