2025-05-20 00:47:10 +0000 UTCApparently its pretty straight forward, his sister is dying so he chases down death and tries to get her back, but her soul snaps in half and he can only put half her soul back (which is why she's weird acting) so he has to journey to the underworld to get the rest of her soul back. That's a lot of fun, bu that's not what I got out of it on a first watch. lmfao

2025-05-15 14:07:02 +0000 UTCThat was trippy- I’m not sure, but I think even if most Japanese aren’t Christian, some might be at least fascinated by some of the Christian stories and ideals- Vinland Saga seems heavily influenced, and Seven Deadly Sins took a lot of Christian elements and played around with/conflated some- also, there did seem to be some kind of “hand of God” at work in this short- fast forwarding/reversing time, playing with physics and the elements- but I think it doesn’t have to necessarily have been a “Christian” god, but that’s just my take
