There's a movie between season 2 and 3, and it flopped pretty hard in japan that animation studio have to sell the anime to another studio, hence season 3 is pretty poor animation quality, but the story is pretty amazing. there are censorship such as censoring blood and a huge decrease in sexual harassment such as main character groping elizabeth. This anime is one of those few anime that had better rating outside of japan than in japan.

2025-04-27 15:57:32 +0000 UTCI’m pretty excited for season 3- though I will reiterate that the animation takes a huge hit (maybe not every episode, but some vital ones were very disappointing)- and to add insult to injury, there is also some censorship- blood is white instead of red- it doesn’t last the entire season, I don’t remember when it stops being there, but it’s very apparent in the first few episodes
