I only noticed it because I always go back to the previous post when I'm ready to do a new post (and 2-9/2-10 is ready) so I was looking for 2-7/2-8 and it just ... wasn't there. But I uploaded the video to Vimeo on Feb 14th. I just forgot to create a post and link up the video. Dumbass.
This is where asking about stuff really comes in handy, because my memory is TRASH. So never hesitate to ask me about anything you were expecting to come out but hasn't. Usually things are delayed and it can't be helped, but every now and then I'm just a dumbass who forgot to post it.

Most of Saber's backstory is within the Fate route of the visual novel, which has an anime adaptation by Studio Deen. People are very split on whether it's good or not because it smashes all 3 routes into a single timeline, but it could be worth a watch. I've never seen it myself

However, as far as Fate goes, this is the first time it's being introduced. The main gist is that the Counter Force (Alaya) is the will of humanity. Its job is to protect humanity from all that seek to destroy it. Their main enemy is Gaia, the will of the planet, who sees humanity as a major threat. It's not that important to know though. Nasu just likes sharing his world building between all of his works
