Love, Chunibyo, etc Early S1 Finale

So who was the most insane? My pick is the blonde minion.

Love, Chunibyo, etc Early S1 Finale

If you do watch more of this, make sure to see the OVA, it's basically the last episode of this season. The problem with the second season is that this is such a definite ending to the plot. Season 2 is mostly "filler" as they already did the plot, but that doesn't mean it's bad; you have in the past said you're OK with filler in shows you like because it gives you more time with characters you like, I like season 2 for that reason This may not be the last time you hear of 8th grade syndrome (chunibyo) as there are a few other shows with chunibyo protagonists O_O

and is it a joke generator due to the quirky circumstances that result from their interactions in public and private? Sure, but at this point I wouldn't continue to a season 2 to see whats in store for those 2 just because the MC is a total shill to begin with and I can bet my bottom dollar that the delulu stuff will only persist and they wont try to show the coming of age aspect and trying to be responsible at all. The delulu stuff is literally the selling point.

Aw boohoo their reunion puts you in the feels , but the story still sucks. A big ol' case of the show embracing what it was shooing away at first. Him going back to the chunibyo persona or the "dark side" literally defines their solidifying of the relationship. Its not really a story of acceptance , if anything its really a story of pity. Where are the people that are supposed to be annoyed by all this nonsense? If you notice, nobody besides Rikka gets scolded for all the crazy stuff they constantly do. Friends & family around the major characters dont even care , they dont even bother to laugh or shake their heads in contempt. They just look puzzled for a few seconds with a blank stare, then go back to whatever they're doing. The embarrassment that Yuuta keeps trying so hard to run away from isnt portrayed as a force to be reckoned with, not even for Yuuta really. If theres any credit to the show, is that it initially comes off as self-aware and in a superficial way as anti-escapism. For a premise thats about anti-escpaism though, a whole bunch of cutesy girls somehow all have the same lore in their distinct imaginations and roleplay; where are the fat and ugly people to give us a sense of depowering reality? why are all of these girls even the milfs all highlighted through their fanservice ? The theme's execution sucks basically, and I only put up with watching it since it was entertaining to watch it with you although the suspension of disbelief is crazy.
