your right the kid should be Block instead of Shapey because they don't get Shapey back until the day of the hunting trip. So for season 3 the Adult Swim execs told Dino to go as dark as possible because he's making something great. When the execs watched what I'll describe as the shadows dancing in the episode "Alone" they cut the episode count from 26 to 13 then cancelled the show.
