That's a really good point. I forgot about the phrase "Edgelord" but that really describes what I was trying to say and embodies the problems as you said. Trying to be an Edgelord is boring

2024-09-08 19:54:03 +0000 UTCso the show isn't aiming to get cancelled and when we get there I'll explain why the show getting cancelled was never because an audience member was offended but for me a show is more offensive when it's trying to be. Usually because the comedy is then bad but also because you know better and choosing not to. I don't get offended and stop watching; I get bored because the people trying to be edgy are more or less sharing the same jokes and run them all into the ground. It speaks poorly of the person because you are at the end of the day valuing your own sense of humour over any amount of respect for others and they always are a part of that "fall off your your chair" style of comedy. In which if you fall off your chair it's funny but if I fall off "how dare you laugh at me this is very serious I could've been hurt"
