I was just reading a reddit thread about all the things wrong with the CW DC series and one comment stood out "they kept the main characters in a relationship almost all the time" and I think you could make this complaint about the comics from what I've seen. Superman and Lois. Batman and Vicki Vail or Catwoman. And yet until the movies came along I never heard of Wonder Woman dating. Weird. There's a lot to delve into here, maybe I'll remember for the next reaction

2024-09-01 12:38:49 +0000 UTCSo I had similar views on Superman but in retrospect after having seen 43 DC movies in 4 days the cusp of Superman is wanting to be a part of a group and them not wanting him at all in some instances and in the normal situations he is constantly reminded he is not one of them. He cares so much for humanity he was willing to die for it even when it was a monster released specifically by those who he defended.
