Kennedy was Irish.

Yeah the thing about she has an entire house full of stuff both big and small and she just loses all that without even being able to pack a bag? That is next level horrible

I'm on a streak but I can't tell if its good luck or bad

holy fuck I keep forgetting I've actually seen Babel. I saw it multiple times as a kid as well as Under the Same Moon. I am going on the record as likely your only mexican patreon member that the way the nanny behaved is completely insane and no mexican who moved to the US would act like that. You become very paranoid of even kind of breaking any law out of fear of being deported and losing not only everything you own but your entire life you built up. The way her story ends is exactly the worst case scenario every mexican immigrant fears will happen by doing something illegal no matter how severe. HOWEVER, every single part of the mexican culture you saw when she got to the party? 100% legit. All of it. Down to the rooster beheading as a game. That's real shit. P.S. Recently rewatched this with ALL subtitles removed. I'd recommend it, still works oddly well; likely by design.

I think now all 3 times, the winner was reacted to last! Zone of interest, Budapest hotel and departed

I'm glad you enjoy this format. I do too. It gets me to catch up with some good movies I haven't seen through the prism of your excellent analysis. We will do more. If it is any consolation, Shakespeare In Love winning over Saving Private Ryan has been widely panned as one of the worst awards the Oscars ever did, made even worse by the fact that the rapist Harvey Weinstein's publicity campaign for Shakespeare pushed it over the edge.
