Basic subscription support is finally here
Added 2024-11-16 00:33:17 +0000 UTCStarting with tracking EA Play, EA Play Pro, Game Pass, Prime Gaming, Ubisoft+ Classics and Ubisoft+ Premium, we now have basic pillars that we can build upon in the future. Amazon Luna is not yet covered. I still don't think I have all this various subscriptions figured out, so let me know when something's wrong, and what you want me to further do with these.
This also means that Prime Gaming will no longer be posted to Giveaways.
What's in this update:
when a game is included in a subscription, the banner will show on the game page
in Deals list and Waitlist, the games in subscription will have a flag, similar to "bundled" flag that you know
in settings, you can select which subscriptions you are paying for and games from these will be further highlighted, similar to how Waitlist and Collection highlight works
you can browse contents of the individual subscriptions
unrelated, but we are now also on Bluesky
What to expect next?
Before the winter sales start, I want to add support for new countries. I'm thinking of adding 4, which would be increase of our coverage by 50%. I'm not completely set on which countries these will be yet. Once the region is added, it should be transparent for you if you are from affected country, the only thing that unfortunately will happen is that you will not have the price history from before. If you are concerned about that, you can switch to US which is a default fallback for countries we do not cover (= what you see now). If all goes well, I'd like to add more regions next year.
And then, until the end of the year and most likely the start of the new one I'll be working on updating ITAD to Svelte 5.

Yes indeed they announce it on their blog Xbox Wire ( https://news.xbox.com/en-us/recent-news/?_categories=xbox-game-pass ) in the same time that new games announcements (example, at the end of the article: https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2024/11/04/xbox-game-pass-november-2024-wave-1/ ) I also found they put the list on a specific page for their cloud interface: https://www.xbox.com/en-us/play/gallery/leaving-soon Hope it helps! Thanks again for all the great updates on ITAD

2024-11-17 09:16:56 +0000 UTCI will explore whether that is possible in the future. I don't know where they announce it, if it's just some blog post, it might not be feasible to automate it.

2024-11-16 18:12:48 +0000 UTCOk I see, as it needs a subscription to claim the Prime Gaming games it makes sense to consider it as a subscription. Oh great you already do it for Prime games. It is not possible for all the games of Game Pass but the announce which games will leave the subscription 2 weeks before they leave (in the same time they announce new games). It could be a great feature to the site to warn user with active subscription to Game Pass and games in their wishlist leaving the subscription soon

2024-11-16 18:09:18 +0000 UTCA lot of people were complaining that we are posting Prime Gaming to giveaways, so that's why the change. For track of leaving, right now I track it only for Prime, because they actually show it in data, I don't know if it's possible for other subscriptions.

2024-11-16 13:57:30 +0000 UTCThanks for the continuous updates! Subscriptions tracking seems really great! For Prime Gaming, I think it is best to keep it as giveaway as once claimed you can still play the game after unsubscription. And as it propose games on Amazon Games Platform but also GOG, Epic Games, Microsoft Store and Legacy (?), it comes closer to giveaway than subscription. Will it be possible to track the date of leaving the games of subscriptions?
