2025-08-29 22:54:51 +0000 UTC"Genocide" is a bit of a mistranslation here and causes people to attach AoT to currently active real-world conflicts. 虐殺 (gyakusatsu) means something more like a massacre or indiscriminate slaughter. There's no racial component to the term. It's actually antithetical to a genocide, since genocides target a specific nation or ethnicity. Eren's killing everyone not from Paradis, without discrimination.
