I need a little testing feedback

Alright so real quick gonna get this out the way, you aren't being charged for this or anything. I'm posting it here and not on the blog since it's mostly for those of you still giving money, who I assume care enough to give an opinion. Keeping it public though in case someone stumbles upon it anyway.

Second point, not sure if this is indicative of me being back, but I can now legally charge a Patreon again, and so with some encouragement from my wife, I'm trying to get back into the groove of doing Shield High. I also have a job now, which makes me doubley motivated to work on it.

Anyway, on to the actual point of this post. I've never really liked how combat plays. It always felt a bit too click all the buttons to spam through it as fast as possible. So I'm trying to change that, and make things a bit more interesting. That's gonna come in some incremental balance changes for the moment, which I'd like some feedback on.

In this test, I've changed how Fatigue works. Normally you'd gain a defense bonus for each point of Fatigue you have, up to 10. Now you have 10 at max, and lose a bonus for each point of Fatigue missing. It means you can't perpetually stay at 10 defense for the whole fight.

I've also changed how Rest works. Before it'd have a 50/50 of giving you back 10 Fatigue. Now it works 100% of the time(Or it should, if it ever fails, let me know), but gives your opponents attack a 100% chance of success, and only restores 5 Fatigue. This also means there's now a proper "Surrender" button, since if you just spam this, your opponent has her way with you.

Other than that, there's just some other small changes as I'm looking to change the general direction of the game back on to the main plot, and side plots, and scrap that whole, day to day AI system that I was working on. I'd like to integrate it one day, but if I'm being perfectly honest, it's not a Jessica's Story type thing. It really belongs in some hypothetical Shield High sequel.

But yeah, feedback is desired!

EDIT: The original upload was broken and didn't work. It was entirely my fault, it didn't run on my side either. I zipped things up wrong it seems. This time however, I tested it.

Huh. Lemme look into that. It's probably a fuck up on my side. It's been so long since I've posted an update I forgot how I did it normally, so what I did was quite possibly completely wrong.

Hail to the Earl! Downloaded the game, but it did not run unfortunately. Still have the XNA 4.0 framework downloaded.

Unsung

So glad this is back, when i get a chance ill def check it out
