Writing Exercise
Added 2018-05-31 13:41:40 +0000 UTCGood morning! I won't be uploading a video this week because I've been sick and my brothers were in from out of state. ๐
Next week, we're hopping back with a Quest for the Worst! It's pretty bad!
In the meantime, since I'm missing my upload day, I'm going to make this week's $10+ patron writing exercise available for everyone.
WRITING EXERCISE: Write a scene from the perspective of a REAL LIFE PERSON you are/were in conflict with. Difficult professor, grumpy landlord, that bitch at the dog park who never picks up her pekingese's poop (I see you, Amy). Re-write the conflict from your opposition's perspective and think of reasons for their behavior.
This is great practice for writing complex characters and understanding character motivation.
ALTERNATIVELY: If you're a bit touchy around personal situations, make up a conflict between two characters and write the scene from each of their separate perspectives.
