Quick note
Added 2021-04-22 07:13:23 +0000 UTCPlease report it _any_ time errors are reported on a filesystem, fsck errors or otherwise. There's a couple of nasty bugs I'm trying to track down right now (one of them appears to be btree writes getting lost, but so far the reports are only from filesystems that have replication enabled, and it's always just one of the replicas, so we're able to retry from another replica when we notice it).
Even if I'm not able to fully diagnose every single report, the data is still extremely helpful when tracking down bugs like this for building a picture of what might be causing it.
Also - there's a mailing list, which we should be using more - linux-bcachefs@vger.kernel.org. I'm also considering switching from IRC to discord, after a great many years in #bcache on irc.oftc.net...

discord has very good moderation tools, and overall has enough features to make it worth trying over IRC or others.

2021-09-22 03:56:47 +0000 UTCPlease switch to discord. I am not a big fan of this service however there are already many groups there. This would make it much easier for me and others who use discord to be in touch with community.

2021-08-10 10:23:31 +0000 UTCA big advantage of Discord is that far more people use it; I recognize the theoretical benefits of Matrix, but practically speaking, if it's on Discord I'm joining up, if it's on Matrix I'm not.
2021-05-05 02:59:58 +0000 UTCDiscord isn't libre so if possible another platform would be better. Maybe bridged if needed.
