Yesterday's Movie Ep1: Rashomon

I watch a new movie every single day, so I thought: Why not share my thoughts on them here each morning. This is a short daily podcast for 'Movie-heads'.

Chase

heck yes, this is great

I was lucky enough to have a history prof my freshman year in college who made us watch this to understand how slippery looking a history truly is. Brilliant movie and timeless tale.

The Alaskan Radical

I think I would rather just do the podcast in lieu of a Letterbox'd account. And yes it will be on the podcast feed!

Not Even a Show

I would also love to see a Chris Letterboxd account. Will this mini pod be on the podcast feed?

hey WHAT THE FUCK

Just before covid the local theater here did a Kurosawa retrospective on 35mm film. Almost every single film he made became my favorite. Some are not as good as others but all are incredible and have something amazing in them.

This is good stuff Chris. Have you ever thought about starting a Letterboxd account? You could keep a log of the movies you watch and add a link to the Patreon post. Either way this rules, keep up the great content!

Oooo... will watch it. This one goes out to real ones, the Movie-heads! I just subbed to hbomax for that upcoming Ridley Scott show about Remma.

Hi Chris! Love this new podcast idea. I also watch a movie every day, I think it is a great thing to do. I watched my first Kurosawa movie, which was also Seven Samurai, just two short months ago, and I have since watched six more of them! I think my favorite of the bunch is "High and Low," but Kurosawa has so many absolutely legendary movies that you can just pick out pretty much any of them and know you're in for a good time. While I have you here, I want to recommend "Harakiri" (1962) which is directed by Masaki Kobayashi. I think that if you liked Rashomon, you will love Harakiri as well. It's my all time favorite movie and I tell everyone to watch it. I hope that's okay! Have a great Tuesday, and thanks for the great new show idea!
