"City of Gains: Chapter 01" - Fat Fur

It's the story of an alchemist revisiting his home, a city where everyone's cursed to inevitably gain weight. As an experiment, I've decided to release a new chapter here on Patreon every Friday. Once it's been fully uploaded, it'll go through a final round of peer editing and then be self-published in full like my previous major works. Even after that, though, the individual chapters will remain uploaded here indefinitely for patrons! I hope you all enjoy :3
Elias Brewer, an alchemist with an interest in curses, arrives home after an absence of six years, burdened with anxiety. But it's not old friends or family he's worried about, it's his home town's ancient curse that causes people to gain weight.
