I liked first of the month billing because batching up payments minimises credit card transaction fees, but that's no longer an option Patreon offers.
What I'm working on:
I'm doing some Fleshcult 2 prototyping again. This time it's a design exercise that I regret skipping on FC1: a resource prototype. With FC2 I want to give players a wider range of activities than just the sex scenes. This structure will need good connective tissue so it doesn't feel like a collection of isolated minigames. I want to evaluate this connective tissue by making a bare bones game that abstracts away most of the gameplay into exchanging different resources.
If you've played Fallen London, Sunless Sea, or Citizen Sleeper, it'll be similarly abstract except not as lushly written because I'll be focusing on the structure.
