I'm guessing they are contracting through a service that pays for limited viewing/streaming rights to a film based on their average watch rate, but that is just a guess. If someone isn't doing that they should be.

If they would win is also in question because as you point out, the reaction is transformative. However, even if the producer did not win, it would cost Cinebinge quite a lot of money to defend themselves.

I understand you can make a YouTube reaction video under fair use, and your discussion at the start and end of the movie could be seen as transformative in nature. You appear to be displaying the entire movie, albeit a smaller version. I'm just worried you could potentially be prosecuted under some copyright infringement. Again I maybe ignorant of what is or isn't allowed.

2025-06-27 20:22:09 +0000 UTCThe Wire does have a S2 edit, as for the rest of the show with a YT edit, its not off the table, but our older tv reactions are magnitudes more difficult to get a YT edit going for a variety of reasons. while there are interests for more season of it to be done, we saw the numbers for the first 2 seasons and realized that the interests were quite low in comparison. And since these old shows take much longer to edit, the time always felt better spent on more urgent or higher demand things first. But its never off the table and at some point we'll clear enough of the work queue to go back and edit that show.
