update + patkoma #1

Hi, friends!

Sorry it's been so long since an update. Let's see... Oh! The art book sold out (thank you so much!), which was great. I have been in a bit of an art rut lately and so I've been spending most of my time researching material (like 4komas), thinking a whole lot about stuff, and playing Baldur's Gate 3. I don't know what's gotten the creative juices all funked up, but I'm trying to just go with the flow and remember to feed the inspo jar and not just take from it instead of kicking myself for not being able to make anything. More personally, there was a death in the family recently of a very dear and very young cousin, so I think that's still just been looming over me. In any case, I appreciate y'alls' continued support and patience!

I have some personal goals around making short-form stuff again (I miss the joy of making comics and I'm trying to remember that feeling), so I'm starting at the shortest of short form with 4komas. Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun is *very* funny. Gimme your 4koma recs! I loved Azumanga back in the day and never really picked up another 4koma after that. I did check out Bocchi a little bit, but I think that's one that definitely benefits from its anime adaptation format.

Anyway, as practice I decided to start making some 4komas about Pat, my husband, because... well, he just makes it way too easy. I promise I will try to post sexy art again very soon, but for now, I hope the process insights and other work can tide y'all over.

Oh! By the way, I know I discussed this a little while back, but I understand that Patreon is not everyone's ideal way of supporting creators and always look for other ways to do so. While I'm still on Twitter, I've made my new social media home on Cohost.org, which I love dearly. They are soon to launch a tipping service. To be frank I don't know the details of it and if it will offer subscription-style options, but I will let y'all know as soon as that is available if you'd opt for an avenue to support me that is NOT Patreon.

Thanks for sticking around, y'all! <3
