Maybe the solution for the alignment problem is to train the AI on QC instead of the dregs of human conversation that is twitter etc. Granted, we might just get a different type of human extinction, but at least it would be more fun.

I actually doubt Pintsize would want to take over. I'm sure he would enjoy the chaos of the takeover itself, but in the end I think he would deliberately join the losing side (humanity, in all likelihood) because he is fundamentally anti-authority.

AI personalities are varied enough in the QC universe that it seems almost inevitable that some percentage of them are probably trying to take over. Presumably they are simply outnumbered. Or possibly being kept in check by a pro-human mega-AI. My money is on Gary.
