A special nugget on that scene (which I might have missed if I still lived in a country with great weather, but like Marten and Jeph, I moved to Canada 😅) is that he had his jacket outside and hung it at the omnipresent coat hanger (in the gutter between panels 3 and 4) like we always do, but Liz (between being in a crisis, having mechanical arms and just being nonconformist) was outside without a jacket, but grabbed it to get inside 😁

Allan - I don't think she'd be able to feel cold in mechanical arms though. I mean why even add that feature? Since they aren't warmed naturally, they'd literally ALWAYS feel cold unless the temp was 97f out.

Thinking about it ... the arms would be colder the further from the attach point, and would suck heat out of her little stumps unless they had auxiliary heaters, which would be a big energy drain. Especially outside in the spring at night in Canada. Not sure a hoodie will help much, but therapy might, Liz.

That pose is typically taken by people having a crisis, like realizing they fucked up and now nobody likes them (regardless of the truth of the situation) it's the standing version of being curled up in the fetal position. The jacket is not meant to warm her up, but to surround her. Like a warm hug, it can help assuage those feelings. It's why weighted blankets are so popular for people with chronic anxiety.
