Maybe they're retractable? You know, like maybe they kind of telescope down a bit? Or a lot? In her field, that'd be a very practical mod to have. I think it'd also be HILARIOUS to pull that sort of thing at will on drunk fratboys in bars, VWOOP! SIZE J! VWIIIP! A-CUP! Which is just one reason why it's probably a good thing that I'm not an AI (there are many, many more.)

I've only just now realized that it wasn't Applebloom.

She can probably deflate them at will to more easily put on clothing, gear, etc., but she has to do it intentionally - if she relaxes or loses concentration, they re-inflate to colossal hombojombo size. It's their default setting. Kind of like middle-aged men sucking in their gut whenever a hot girl walks by, except sexier.

It’s interesting philosophically. Generally, it’s rude to criticize or tease sapients for things they don’t control, which for humans includes a lot of things about their bodies currently. So teasing someone for a regrettable tattoo they got would inadvisable and personal but at least was a choice, teasing someone for a birth defect or genetic disorder is just trashy. But robots control everything about their body, within their budget and whatever feels natural or correct for their psyche. Which brings us to a bit of an asymmetry- Evanescent Incinerator is critiquing Dr Appleboom on her goblin-like tendency towards rudeness, which people consider squarely in the choice category, and Liz is teasing Evvie for..a psychological sleep disorder and having chosen a chassis with large breasts. The former is definitely across a line since it’s in the category of “mental health issues we don’t understand or control”. The breast size one for robots is more of a choice, maybe, but it seems like we would grandparent in some body acceptance since the body that feels most natural to the psyche is probably inherent. Like if Pintsize rented one of the chassis in Evie’s series and doubled the breast size further and drove it around just to be a troll, absolutely fair game for criticism. But if Evansecent just picked the body that feels best to her and that happens to include large breasts aesthetically, not very nice to tease or obsess or objectify her about those. I don’t know if our-world AIs would have a singular body image or care about their chassis shape, but in QC they do. I headcanon this as inheriting some human psychological traits from the Elliot-Chathams as part of their creation. The next interesting step in this line of reasoning would be if the QC world had a breakthrough in biotech that lets humans modify their bodies as much as AIs can. Strong AI and CRISPR might make it possible to splice modifications into your body during your lifetime. With perfect genome understanding, it might be possible to edit traits. So if Liz is jealous of EI’s ample bosom, she could just go genejack up some 38DDs of her own. Until then, no one is teasing Liz about her breast size or robotic prosthetic arms, and she’s likely about to be called on teasing EI for having a sleepwalking disorder.
