So... was anybody else irrationally jealous that AIs in this universe can just pick out their body?

I wonder if Bodyhub ever offers a free succulent with a purchase for its promotions. Would it only be for a whole new body, or also for smaller upgrades, such as a new ass or other body asset? The appeal of succulents to AI and how motivating that might be is intriguing.

I find myself wondering about something. The Bodyhub (and presumably other AI embodiment services) apparently sell standard "models". "The Josefina MX", "that MX" etc. were used in 4342, for instance. The language suggests the same tone that one uses for speaking of phone models or car models. (Roko's body disparity touched on this as well.) And yet, we don't seem to see a lot of duplication of AIs. Or is it just me not noticing? All the "character" AIs seem to have entirely different models (exceptions for Yay etc. being obviously non-distinct for a reason, and maybe Melon and Lemon). I get that from a story-telling perspective, it's easier to have clear distinctions that match the characters, but the variation in body designs would seem to be unmanageable from a retail (Bodyhub) perspective.

Just finished re-reading the archives for the umpteeth time (try it next time you have a depressive slump or just a bad day - it really helps) and now I'm champing at the bit for more story. Will May's new body have hot-swappable genitals? Will Yay "redirect" funds to help Roko in her new role as boss? Will Elliot and Clinton be the cutest thing ever? And for the love of god, does Steve have enough cereal?

I just thought of something. If the Josefina has all the bells and whistles, could it allow for adjusting sensory information? Because I could see May "seeing" the "Sexual Activity Pleasure" dial and just cranking that to maximum before she realizes what it'd do. It would likely color her perceptions of everyday life (with corresponding personality shift) until she gets that she needs to dial it back.
