Robert Fripp and the League of Jaunty Gentlemen

Adam Lindsay

didn't expect a Fripp reference today!! awesome!! way to go Jeph!!

Joe

progressive metal/ragtime?! Count me in!

Daryl Sawyer

...please, yes. I'd love myself some King Crimson meets Scott Joplin

Ruth Jamison

At this risk of crossing over a web comic to real life...I think this happens to many creatives. Music/graphics/painting/photography/sculpting/dance or whatever. Your vision isn't popular or appreciated. At some point you realize that you can do what sells (assuming it's a livelihood) and put food on the table. I can't fault Jeph's Sven for that. It's one thing to be ignored, but it's another to be told it's so bad that it worth burning down someone's office to get rid of it. That's gonna leave a mark

Jim Feldman

I had to do a short web search, THEN went over to my stack of CD's, grabbed one, and said, "Oh."

Joseph Bonnar

Mix in some distorted 8-strings and call it Djaunt.

TubaGinger

I'm just going to assume other people know who Robert Fripp is and let it go....

Churchill (formerly TeaBear)

Oh, Gods, I am _such_ a geek. I would buy it if that was the only way to hear it at least once ...

Bill Hall

Gosh, if everybody is all communicating in healthy ways and behaving emotionally sane, where will all the drama come from? [remembers what Sven was doing immediately previously] Never mind.

Clifton Royston

I think Robert Fripp is too busy with his battle with the David Bowie estate to write an angry email about this.

Isn't this just asking for another barn burning?

Jim Feldman

And of course I thought the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure stand first which just made it EVEN WEIRDER

NekoIncardine

now I have visions of Robert Redford and Paul Newman swaggering about to 21st century schizoid man

SpookyPenguin

Digital and CD.

Populuxe

I'd love to get ANY kind of email directly from Robert Fripp... even a restraining order signed by him!

I’d listen the shit out of that.

Josh Dick

awwww, sibling reaching out

Bagge

Wait, how did I miss the existence of this? (... Oh, _Works Volume 2_; that has been on my "albums I should get" list for a while but somehow I never actually got a copy. That explains it.) Thank you!

Brooks Moses

In the Court of the Crimson Entertainer

Hugh Eckert

You mean like the Emerson, Lake, and Palmer cover of Maple Leaf Rag?

David F

I would pay actual money for that album. Real American dollars.

Autographedcat

OMG HAHAHA that's wrong

The Shadow's Lair

I opened this up and the first thing I saw was Dora looking horrified as Sven stares directly at her breasts.…...

I wonder if Robert Fripp does anything BUT angry emails. Though in person he's great. With or without a guitar.

BobC

Sven does his Opus. And at a public performance he dedicates it to "My sister Dora, who owns the Coffee of Doom in Northampton,MA." Which soon after closes due to the ensuing public outrage.

Michael Boettger

Yes but getting any email from Robert Fripp would be remarkably badass.

Dallas Hicks

damn, I totally wanted to say that one!!

jimbo

And of course, 21st Century Schizoid Rag

Adam Lindsay

Three of a Perfect Waltz

Adam Lindsay

Syncopatica

Adam Lindsay

Maple Leaf Tongues in Aspic

Adam Lindsay

I wanna hear that.

Joel Bateman

Starless and Bible Rag

Adam Lindsay

Does anyone else wonder if Sven has finally met his true inspiration?

Noise

I didn't have to do that - I'm old.

Noise

Or like this message if you know exactly what Sven is talking about and are intrigued and/or aroused.

Bradford

Sven is my spirit artist

Sora

Ok, "like" this message if you also had to Google who the fuck Svens' talking about.
