1. I think Roko's skin color is 'olive'. Just not the olive that we generally think of when we state someone has an 'olive skin tone'. May's is blueberry. Punch bot's is 'banana'. I could go down the list. 2. Coolant has to be able to vent somewhere. You don't want Roko to blow a gasket just because she gets a bit of extra fine soda bread?

Necks do just have a much larger range of motion that most joins, most humans have a few folds there to allow all the movement it can do. Only comparable joint is probably the shoulder or hip, both I think have stricter limits though, necks have al little more than 180 degrees of freedom.

Momo and bubbles both have it. It is a higher quality dermal setup (bubbles is Chem resistant and Momo is dishwasher safe) so for rokos chassis, it makes sense to be higher quality cause hers is a higher grade than her previous. May, on the other hand, bemoans her finger joints in an earlier comic. Probably why the oven mitt was involved tbh. Regardless, it seems to mostly be a safer way to protect the joints.

Interestingly - at least to me - is that Roko's new chassis appears to be seamless, except for where her neck/head are attached. I think it's safe to assume that there's no technical reason why that junction couldn't be seamless as well; so why isn't it? It could be a way of making sure no one mistakes an AI for a human, but in many - perhaps most - cases, the "skin" tone of an AI chassis has no relation to anything organic. So I'm curious whether there's an in-universe backstory or justification for this detail, or if it's something more prosaic -- like Jeph wanting to indicate to his audience (particularly new readers?) that certain characters are not human. Of course, it could just be that the seamless neck juncture upgrade is a premium feature, and Roko's insurance didn't cover it. Then again, if that's the case, why is it such a premium/expensive feature if it doesn't have a social signifier associated with it? ...and so on down the rabbit hole...

Attack mode Roko is the best Roko. Well, right after "interacting with bread Roko". And I really hope that something good comes out of all of this. They both really need it. By the way, about blackmail - I doubt that there are moral principles against low-level intimidation in Spookybot's head. If they really decide to help Roko and May, little dirt on one manager will be very easy to obtain.
