The Lorax speaks for the trees, so here the Lor-Ass speaks for the Fayes, on account of Fayes butt. The Oncelor ignored The Lorax's wisdom and created environmental devastation in pursuit of short term profits, but I'm not sure how that fits in with the metaphor.
