Anyone feel like she’s been picking up some cues from Emily?

EnterTheHero

Of course she's teasing him. They're still good friends.

awgiedawgie

Oh, 4 is definitely my favourite.

awgiedawgie

Dora doesn't look like herself.

cannot decide which is my favourite Doraface. 6? 5? 2? But 4 is also good, and so is 3

Oh dang, gray/white hair is actually clear, but just looks gray/white due to the shenanigans of light. Clear hair would be so cool! Also terrifying.

Eric Sieck

I...didn't know that's what gray hairs were. Kind of obvious now that I think about it.

Eric Sieck

Roman Catholicism can be used the same way, though practicing Catholics get all hot and bothered if you do. Aquinas's ontotheology is subtle and complex enough that you can tweak his ethics into making sense in a modern world. The Divine Comedy is Aquinas retold as a parable. The various mythical saints and their stories are far better folk tales than most of the Bible. None of it is true of course, except in the manner in which myths are true, but it is complete, ornate, and beautiful. I particularly recommend the stories of Saint Christopher, including the part where he worked for the devil, Saint Moses the Black, Saint Guinefort, Saint Josaphat, Saint Conachur, and Saint Cuchulain. I am particularly fond of the part where Cuchulain won't leave Hell for Heaven unless his horse can come to Heaven too. I am pretty sure that there is a bar in Heaven where Christopher, Conachur, Cuchulain, Moses the Black, and Saint Dismas hang out together.

I think this is when the kids say big mood.

Teddy

I've been a practicing pagan for awhile after a long stint as an atheist recovering from a Roman Catholic upbringing. People don't generally take me seriously when I talk about my beliefs; Dora's quote in the first panel really resonated with me, I'm probably gonna steal it.

I like to think of grey hair, aches, wrinkles, and all the other indignities of age as visible accumulation of evil. Wilde had it right, only, unlike Dorian Gray, we can't transfer the marks of our wickedness to a hidden picture. My motto is "I'm not getting older, I'm getting worse." The answer, I hypothesize, is to detoxify one's body of evil by continually doing bad things. Not to other people, of course; that would be terrible. Hitting the heavy bag is good, and so are martial arts forms.

I started having gray hairs at 17.

Nicolas Dao-Phan

I started losing my hair around 15, with noticeable baldness by 17, and a Picard haircut by about 24. I've certainly gotten a lot of gray hairs over the years, but they all fall out before too long. The gray hairs mostly grow on top, at least as long as they're there; my fringe is still almost as thick over 20 years later. It's possible it's just really 2-3 gray hairs that keep persistently trying to grow back in and failing.

Some Ed

Yes, well, when you're bleeding profusely from a stab wound, it is indeed perfectly natural to die.

awgiedawgie

I've had gray hairs since I was 16.

Danya Michael

Some people go silver as early as in their twenties or thirties Marten - don't fret just yet.

Cole Blackblood

Jeez Dora, not cool.

SheepFace2000

When I say my hair is going "silver" (instead of "grey" or "white") people often think it's vanity. But really it's just me trying to be accurate. My hair isn't turning grey, it's turning silver. There's a difference. It'll be white in a decade or two, going by the last two generations of my male ancestors, but meantime... silver. I was in my early 20s when my hairdresser noticed some... pigment-challenged hairs, but my hair has been mostly brown for decades. Even now the silvering isn't that noticeable. The beard has been more salt than pepper for years now (my avatar photo is, hmm, 7 or 8 years old), but the head? Touch of silvering on the temples. Starting to see a light coating all over now if I look carefully. ...My point is that Marten probably doesn't have anything to worry about. One or two grey (or white or silver) hairs don't mean he's going to look like his dad next week. It's been four decades since the first were spotted and I'm still mostly brown.

Jeffrey Nonken

Brother!

jeff fearnow

I’m not sure “congratulations” is the right thing to say, but I hope you get long locks of grey hairs.

Miyaa

"I feel personally attacked by this relatable content."

Lightsabr2

After going through cancer treatment, I *earned* those gray hairs, dammit.

Derrik Pates

C'mon Marty, Dora has already established how hot you will look once you go grey ...

Manuel Schumacher

TBF, he is a little young for grey hairs... But, then, my granddad was completely bald by the time he was 19...

Churchill (formerly TeaBear)

My barber observed once that he was starting to see gray hairs. He's dead now. Why are you looking at me like that? The coroner said it was natural causes!

Alex Borders

I'll be honest, I find grey on a man very alluring. ♥

Nicki Faulk

Awwwwww Dora does witchcraft exactly like I do! We're both skeptical witches! <3

Creepy Cat Lady

She's teasing him even though she already admitted how hot he'll be with grey hair according to what his dad looks like. <a href="https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1515" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1515</a>

I have just two or three grey strands right at the front of my hairline, and I kinda dig it.

Valraven

Don't fret it Marten, I've been going grey since I was like, 23. Was balding since 25 and just decided 'fuck it' and started shaving my head.

Reyn Goldfur

My head hair still hasn't gone distinctly grey yet, but I happened to let my beard grow for a while a couple of years ago and was alarmed at how grey it had gone.

Mark

I had a bunch of white hairs in high school (I blame parental-induced stress) and my friends would always try to pick them out :( Thankfully, still got a full head o' hair a decade later, and surprisingly fewer whites.

Julian G

Bah, at least he has hair. I’ve been losing mine slowly but steadily the past couple of years so now what’s left is trimmed down to a few millimeters. And the white hairs in my once luscious red beard seem to be multiplying. The only hair that retains any color is that on my back, in my nose and ears ...

I have a friend who is younger than I am (I'm 24) and they have so many grey hairs that they look like a blond.

Dylan T

Yup. Except mine are pure white. 😨🧝

Waffles the Mooose

I love the expression on Dora's face in the fourth panel.

awgiedawgie

Yeah Dora is definitely off these last two. I feel like she's maybe stoned a bit, except A: eyes not bloodshot and B: COULD YOU IMAGINE if Faye saw her at work like that?

Boter Bug

Is it weird that I look forward to getting gray hair?

Mordaeus

Oh you are always growing old. No one grows young. Your mind ages to about 30, then stops. Your body continues to age, so by the time you are 60 you feel 30, but there is something wrong with you. When you reach 70 there are so many things wrong, death doesn’t feel like such a bad idea.

Philip D Jones

Dora seems very chipper today

Bagge

You found a way to make dog owners even more weird to me. Go figure

Bagge

Aren't you happy you are friendly with your ex, Marten?

Bagge

Faye used to have a full lip, too. I think Jeph did away with them for everyone except Renee.

awgiedawgie

Philip D Jones

Apologies for being the pedant but, GREY hair exists only on British heads. On American heads it is GRAY. On either side of the Atlantic the dogs are GREYHOUNDS. If your greyhound is actually GRAY the dog people say it’s BLUE. Go figure.

Philip D Jones

*Groan* Take your "like" and just go. :-)

David Days

There are so many gray hares in my yard. So may think that's awesome, but the bunny parents tell me it's hare-raising.

BobC

The dude's still under thirty, right? Seems like it would be easy to be chill about going grey in your twenties. It's clearly not because you're growing old or anything.

Mitchell Sealy

I could go back further--or I could've just clicked the "Dora" tag that doesn't exist--but this has been Dora's look since at least when Faye and Bubbles got together well over two hundred strips ago. <a href="https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3749" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3749</a>

Seth Aaron Hershman has they she pronouns

I actually want MORE grey! My Lily Shen cosplay isn't quite accurate yet D=

Minzoku Bokumetsu

Is it just me .. Or does Dora look .. off? She feels a bit cartoony~ compared to the others :S

Andreas "Rowas" Lind-Sahlin

My beard is a fine storage area for grey hairs. It's almost full, though.

Hugh Eckert

This is maybe a weird question, but: didn't Dora have a big pouty bottom lip? Where did it go? <a href="https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3615" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3615</a> With those big round eyes, she looks like Hannelore with black hair now.

Asher Rose Fox

My wife's hair is giving gray a total pass and turning white as the driven snow. It's gonna look hot af. 🥰

Gary Walker

preach.

Matt

None that we can *see* at any rate

R L

Yo, Marten: at least you still have your hair. We baldies might just prefer gray.

Carl Fink

I hope I have my ginger hair long enough for it to go white.

Yeah, I bet DORA doesn’t have ANY grey hairs...😂

Kevin Hicks

blergh

Grey hair is awesome, why the hate Marten?

Starlight

how much time has elipsed in the questionable content universe since strip o--*is bricked*

Seth Aaron Hershman has they she pronouns

Embrace they grey, Marten: <a href="https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1515" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1515</a>

Brian

Aging is fun 🙃

Magic Chopstick Games

“You are gonna be SO HOT when you go grey”

Brian

I look forward to when my ginger hair turns white.

Miyaa

How old is Marten anyway?

JD

I feel this in my soul. I found a grey eyebrow hair recently and I was so *mad* about it, hahah.

Anton

Martin, Martin. Look at your Dad. Grey WORKS.

Leaflemming

I'm lucky that my only grey hairs are beard and nose hairs (so far).

Mike de Jong

"YOU GRIPPED IT TOO HARD AND SQUEEZED THE PIGMENT OUT!!"

J.M. Hall

Goddammit how'd I get old overnight
